Able Electropolishing Awarded ISO 13485:2003 and ISO 9001:2008 Certification

Able Electropolishing has provided thousands of domestic and international companies with innovative metal electropolishing, passivating and titanium anodizing services. In order to better serve its clients, particularly those clients who work in the medical and other high precision, quality demanding industries, Able recently gained certification in ISO 13485:2003 and successfully renewed its ISO 9001: 2008.

As set forth by the International Office for Standards (ISO), certification in ISO 13485:2003 acknowledges that Able has demonstrated its ability to produce medical equipment parts that meet both consumer and regulatory requirements. Moreover, the certification details Able’s ability to provide medical equipment manufacturers with metal parts of the highest standard in safety and quality.

“Able has participated in the medical device market for many years. Our current customers include nationwide OEMs and contract manufacturers for medical devices. This certification exemplifies our dedication, experience, and capability when it comes to servicing this vital industry,” Scott Potter, Able Electropolishing, Sales Manager.

The certification was granted following a thorough review of Able’s equipment, facilities, staff and other factors indicative of the company’s quality control and production capabilities. The certification, valid for two years, will continue to define Able as the leader in electropolishing with commitments to improving product quality and consistency of operations, increasing efficiency and reducing waste to meet and surpass customer needs.

Gaining ISO certification in this international standard will benefit all Able clients, including but not limited to clients in the medical industry. Though Able has always adhered to the highest manufacturing standard, their most recent ISO certification will ensure that all of Able's advanced electropolishing techniques meet the highest international standard of quality.
